Originally from Nebraska, George Lundeen earned his undergraduate degree from Hastings, and then proceeded to the University of Illinois for graduate work. Earning a Fulbright-Hays scholarship, Lundeen was able to travel Europe and it was there that works of the old masters inspired him to begin working in sculpture.

Lundeen's works can be found in collections worldwide. He has also earned numerous awards from the Allied Artists of America, the National Academy of Design, and the National Sculpture Society.

Lundeen is currently lviing and working in Colorado.
